Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her talents. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the eldest of three kids that were the children of Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) as well as Anne Smith who was a psychologist. Her parents are of English as well as Scottish heritage. Moore struggled due to the fact that her family was always moving due to her dad's employment. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved to the United States. Moore began her career in the theatre. She continued her education at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Moore made the move into New York after graduating and began her career in off-Broadway theatre. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore made her first appearance on the screen. She performed the double role of Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Turns the show that marked her debut. The show aired from 1988 to the present and was awarded an Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In 1990, she made her debut as an actress in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. In the following years, she called it the film with a small budget. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were directed by Robert Altman. For the former, Moore won numerous awards as well as praise from critics. Moore was first cast as the lead role for the film Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg's casting of Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, one of the most successful films of 1997, represented a huge change in Moore's career. She was awarded an SAG nomination in 1999 for her role she played in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. The Hours starred Moore in 2002. It was also nominated by Nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. More movies Moore was a part of include The Forgotten (2004) Freedomland (2006) Shelter (2010) etc. Non-Stop premiered in the year 2014. Moore has been in many productions and films. Most recently, she was in leading roles is in 2022, After You Finish Securing the World. The actress has made herself known on the screen in Hollywood and also as an author for children. In 2007, she published Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became a N.Y.T. The book was a huge best seller, and was later made into a TV series as well as musical. The author has also released her memoir, My Mom's Foreigner, a memoir in 2013. Moore, as a very accomplished author and actor is also known for making her personal life public. She divorced John Robin in 1995. Bart Freundlich, whom Moore then married in 2003 has two children with her. Moore's main focus is her friends, family and career.
